Brittany Murphy dies at the age of 32

Actress Brittany Murphy died this morning due to an apparent drug overdose. Paramedics were called to her LA house Sunday morning, but could not revive the actress. She was pronounced dead from cardiac arrest. She was only 32 years old.

Murphy’s mother found her unconscious in the shower this morning and called paramedics. The family has released this statement to the press regarding her death: “In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy.”
